Meet the KOBRA Sapero
KOBRA, the e-bike brand from Haarlem known for the V1.2, is taking the next step in quality e-bikes. The Sapero is an urban e-bike for every day, designed entirely in the Netherlands. It comes as the Urban and as the low-step Urban ST, with deliveries starting in January/February 2027.
Why the Sapero?
Many e-bikes are heavy and feel like a burden without the motor. The Sapero turns that around. At 19 kg it is light enough to enjoy as a regular bike too. Turn the motor off and the kilometres roll by with ease. Turn it on and you get smooth, natural assistance for headwinds, a steep bridge or that appointment across town. Fancy a relaxed cruise? Or quickly getting from A to B? The Sapero's huge power is available in an instant through the riding modes, and you glide away effortlessly, within the legal limits of course.
Maintenance had to stay simple as well. The Sapero uses standard parts, so any bike shop can work on it.
What the Sapero stands for
- Dutch design: a frame and fork of Aerospace 6061 aluminium, with an in-house developed connection between rear triangle and main frame for a stiff, stable ride.
- A natural ride: the Mivice M200 rear hub motor with 50 Nm and 5 levels. KOBRA is the first to launch this 2027 model, on the Sapero.
- Quiet and low-maintenance: Gates Carbon Belt Drive, no grease or oil. Prefer gears? Choose the SJ Edition with Shimano 11-speed.
- Confident on the road: Magura hydraulic disc brakes, Schwalbe Super Moto X tyres and 120/80 Lux lighting.
60-90 km, and further if you want
The Sapero rides 60-90 km on a charge, measured at 20 °C with a 70 kg rider: 60 km at maximum power and 90 km in eco. The battery is removable and the range extender doubles your range.

A KOBRA has to be ridden. Sapero test rides are currently by appointment, and you can already pre-order on the Sapero page. You can cancel free of charge until shipment, just like any other order.
